We Help Organizations Measure What Matters
The Herron Group designs the instruments, systems, and strategies that turn data into impact.
About
Navigate Complexities. Engineer Success. Measure Impact.
Too many organizations struggle to prove their impact, not because they aren't doing good work, but because they lack the systems to measure it. We've seen this in every organization we've led: without proper metrics, even well-funded programs can't demonstrate value or improve operations.
The Herron Group changes that. We help organizations build the measurement infrastructure they need to show results, make better decisions, and work smarter.

What We Do
We focus on three interconnected areas that help organizations operate with clarity and confidence:

Measurement Design
We build the tools organizations use to collect, analyze, and report data that demonstrates real impact.
Systems Strategy
We help organizations redesign how they work, aligning processes, people, and goals for sustainable improvement.
AI Implementation
We help teams use AI to work faster and smarter, from custom bots to workflow automation.

We Build. We Don't Just Advise.
Careervo is our voice-first AI career coaching platform, built in-house and live in the market today. Job seekers talk through their experience, and the platform builds the resume for them. It is the clearest example of what AI Implementation looks like when we do it: a working product in real users' hands.

FAQs
What does The Herron Group do?
We help organizations collect, analyze, and use data to prove their impact and improve how they work. Think of us as your outsourced research and data team, especially if you don't have one in-house.
We focus on three areas:
Measurement Design — We build the tools you need to collect meaningful data. This includes surveys, assessments, and tracking systems tailored to your programs and goals. We also analyze your data and create reports that tell your story to funders, boards, and stakeholders.
Systems Strategy — We help organizations get clear on their goals and redesign how they work. This includes strategic planning, process improvement, and helping leadership teams align around what matters most.
AI Implementation — We help teams use AI tools to work smarter. This includes building custom solutions (like specialized bots), training your staff on AI tools, and helping you figure out where AI can save you time.
Who do you work with?
We work with small businesses, non-profits, schools, workforce programs, and other mission-driven organizations. Our clients range from emerging non-profits just figuring out how to track their impact, to established organizations that need help making sense of data they're already collecting.
If your organization serves people and you need to prove that your work matters, we can help.
Can The Herron Group be our data team if we don't have one?
Yes—this is one of the most common ways we work with clients.
Many small organizations know they need data to secure funding, improve programs, or report to stakeholders, but they don't have the staff or expertise to do it themselves. We step in as your research and data partner, handling everything from designing what to collect to producing the reports you need.
You focus on your mission. We handle the measurement.
What's the difference between Measurement Design and Systems Strategy?
Measurement Design is about what you track—building the surveys, data collection tools, and reports that show your impact.
Systems Strategy is about how you work—helping your organization set goals, improve processes, and operate more effectively.
Often, clients start with one and discover they need the other. For example, a non-profit might come to us for help proving impact to funders (measurement), and through that work, we identify operational bottlenecks that need attention (systems).
What does AI Implementation actually mean?
We help organizations use AI tools practically—not just talk about them.
This might include:
Building a custom AI assistant or bot for your specific needs (like a job coaching bot or a program FAQ tool)
Training your team on how to use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT effectively
Identifying which parts of your workflow could be faster or easier with AI support
Setting up AI-powered systems for things like data analysis or report generation
We focus on AI that makes your work easier, not AI for its own sake.
How do I get started?
Step 1: Free Discovery Call (15-20 minutes) We'll have a short conversation to understand what you're trying to accomplish and whether we're a good fit. This is a get-to-know-you conversation, not a consulting session.
Step 2: Paid Strategy Session (optional) If you want tailored recommendations before committing to a larger project, we offer a paid strategy session where we dig into your specific situation and create an action plan. This is ideal if you're not sure what you need or want expert guidance before deciding next steps.
Step 3: Scope of Work & Agreement For any project, we provide a clear scope of work that outlines what we'll do, what you'll receive, the timeline, and the investment. Work begins once we have a signed agreement.
Step 4: Project Kickoff We get to work. Depending on the project, this might include meetings, document review, data collection, analysis, and deliverables
Do you offer free consultations?
We offer a free 15-20 minute discovery call to understand your needs and determine if we're a good fit. This is a conversation about your situation and how we work—not a consulting session where we solve your problem on the spot.
If you want specific recommendations tailored to your organization, we offer a paid Strategy Session where we do that deeper work together.
What's a Strategy Session?
A Strategy Session is a focused, paid working meeting (typically 60-90 minutes) where we dig into your specific challenges and provide tailored recommendations.
This is ideal for organizations that:
Aren't sure what kind of support they need
Want expert guidance before committing to a larger engagement
Have a specific question or decision they need help thinking through
Want to walk away with a clear action plan
Strategy Sessions start at $150. Contact us to discuss what you need.
How do you charge for your services?
It depends on the project. We offer:
Hourly billing — $125/hour for smaller projects or ongoing support on an as-needed basis.
Project-based pricing — A flat fee for a defined scope of work. This is common for things like survey development, strategic planning, or building an AI tool.
Monthly retainer — A set number of hours or services each month for ongoing partnerships. This works well for clients who need consistent data support, like regular reporting or data monitoring.
We'll recommend the structure that makes the most sense for your situation during our discovery call.
Is there a minimum project size?
No. Sometimes organizations need something quick and focused—a single survey, a short training session, or a few hours of consulting. We're happy to help with smaller projects.
That said, most of our work involves ongoing relationships or multi-phase projects where we can make a meaningful impact over time.
Do you require a contract?
Yes. Before any work begins, we provide a Scope of Work that clearly outlines:
What we'll do
What you'll receive (deliverables)
Timeline
Investment
Work begins once we both sign the agreement. This protects both of us and ensures we're aligned on expectations.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends entirely on what you need.
Some examples:
A single survey or assessment tool: 2-4 weeks
A strategic planning engagement: 4-8 weeks
An ongoing data partnership (monitoring, analysis, reporting): Monthly, ongoing
A quick AI training session: Can be scheduled within days
We'll give you a realistic timeline in your Scope of Work based on your specific project.
